Foundation for Oromian Culture Education and Art Services (FOCAS)

Our organization was established by emerging immigrant and refugee community members in Canada who are primarily from the Oromo nation-state. Our vision is community empowerment and learning excellence, to empower the immigrant and refugee community through the advancement of education, relief of poverty, sponsorship of refugees and advocacy for disadvantage community groups, to create cross-cultural experiences that lead to better understanding between people. Our mission is to create a platform to empower our children to be skilled learners and leaders, to reach the most destitute refugees, sponsor them and resettle them, to advocate for the rights of marginalized social classes, regardless of their origin or religious or sexual orientation.
