New unit opening - 72nd Edmonton Sparks & Embers (NW)
Girl Guides of Canada is looking for 3-4 adult volunteers to be part of a new Spark & Ember unit in NW Edmonton. No previous experience with Girl Guides is necessary. Successful applicants will be screened and begin onboarding immediately, then continue to work with local mentors throughout the next 6-12 months. As part of a unit’s leadership team, you’ll facilitate fun and engaging program activities, like scavenger hunts, arts and crafts, outdoor exploration, games and more with our Embers (7-8 years). Volunteers will receive access to a digital program platform stocked with age-appropriate activities and meeting tools, as well as training on how to deliver activities in ways that will empower and encourage girls. Units meet on a weekly basis, during the school year on We are planning to meet Monday evenings 6.15pm - 7.45pm Location to be confirmed Volunteers commit to 3 hours per week for unit meetings plus additional hours, when required, for trips and events.
