Director of Outreach - Join the STEAMistic Calgary Team!

We are looking for high-school and University students to join our team!

The Director of Outreach will be responsible for managing a small team (comprising project managers and general volunteers) and overseeing all outreach efforts.

Responsibilities include:
- Attending weekly executive meetings;
- Chairing weekly meetings with project managers - outreach;
- Maintaining email correspondence with potential organizations to partner with;
- Meeting with organizations to discuss partnership opportunities;
- Contacting organizations to procure sponsorships to support STEAMistic’s programming; 
- Organizing informative/advocacy events; and
- Collaborating with the communications team to manage media coverage of STEAMistic activities.

This role is best suited for individuals looking to develop/improve community outreach, gain leadership experience, and has a passion for promoting STEAM educational opportunities. Highly motivated, organized, and responsible individuals will be most successful in this position. Previous leadership experience/experience leading teams is an asset.

STEAMistic is a youth-led initiative that aims to distribute STEAM-related educational materials & activities to youth from low SES backgrounds across Edmonton & Calgary. Our goal is to ignite curiosity among the youth, help them build innovation, leadership skills and critical thinking skills.
