Director of Activity Design - Join the STEAMistic Activity Design & Research Team!

We are looking for high-school and University students to join our team!

The Director of Activities & Research will manage a small team (comprising project managers and volunteers) and aid with researching Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) related activities that ideally would take 1-1.5 hours to complete for participants of the program.

Responsibilities include:
- Attending weekly executive meetings;
- Chairing weekly meetings with project managers - activities & research;
- Designing STEAM activities (that are aligned with the Alberta Science curriculum); and
- Collaborating with the communications team to create STEAM-related YouTube videos.

This role is best suited for individuals looking to develop/improve research and activity designing skills, gain leadership experience, and has a passion for promoting STEAM educational opportunities. Highly motivated, organized, and responsible individuals will be most successful in this position. Previous leadership experience/experience leading teams is an asset.

STEAMistic is a youth-led initiative that aims to distribute STEAM-related educational materials & activities to youth from low SES backgrounds across Edmonton & Calgary. Our goal is to ignite curiosity among the youth, help them build innovation, leadership skills and critical thinking skills.
