Assistant Cultural Program Leader

3 hours / weekly
3 hours per week for 3 months
Help guests learn about the connections between Indigenous ways of knowing and contemporary science through cultural teachings, traditional handcrafts, and oral storytelling. This is a great opportunity to work with our Indigenous Education team members in a cultural traditional setting. You will be involved in assisting the program instructors with set-up and take-down of program materials, organizing and packing program kits, and inspiring and motivating participants through guided support. 

Previous experience supervising and/or teaching children will enhance our participants’ learning, as will your demonstrated leadership, organizational skills and enthusiasm for Indigenous cultural teachings. All applicants must be 15 years of age or older with grade 9 science. Volunteer staff are requested to commit to one, 3-5 hour shift per week over a period of three months, or the equivalent of 40 hours.

Shifts:
•	Daily Shifts (Mon- Sun): 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. OR 1:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
