Account and Admin Coordinator

The Resilient Immigrant Foundation (TRIF) is an Edmonton-based nonprofit organization focused on improving the overall health and well-being of immigrant men in Edmonton. Our key initiatives for our Park & Walk Program involves organizing weekly walks to promote physical activity, mental wellness, and social connections among immigrant men. These walks aim to reduce isolation, improve fitness levels, and provide a supportive environment for men to discuss health-related issues. Our monthly step challenges are to promote a lifestyle change while our quarterly men’s health summit is to teach men about their health imperatives. Currently the program has participants from several ethnocultural communities in Edmonton. The goal of the project includes enhancing the reach and impact  as well as the numerical strength of the participants in the program. 
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a detailed-oriented volunteer Account and Admin Coordinator to handle a high volume of data with confidentiality and integrity while supporting our leadership team and Board of Directors. This role requires an individual with exceptional accounting, organizational, communication, and multitasking skills. The Account and Admin Coordinator will be responsible for bookkeeping,  generating financial reports and executing key tasks that advance our mission to transform the health of immigrant men in Edmonton.

Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping
•	Expense validation, tracking and invoice management.
•	Payments of service pays, fees, purchase reimbursements
•	Expense data entry - enter all expenses into QBO
•	Keeping track of receipt numbering in the external spreadsheet for tax-issued and non-tax receipts
•	Review bank feed of bank and credit card account to confirm all monies paid out or received have the backup documents attached to the customer or vendor entries
•	Assist Project Coordinator with Financial Reporting and Accounting
Procurement 
•	Procure and rent events for program activities including required insurance and permits 
•	Coordinate general office supplies as required throughout the year
•	Coordinate printing and posting of flyers around the city for walks
•	Coordinate printing and delivery of brochures for summits
•	Coordinate printing and delivery of banners(x2) for summit venue
•	Coordinate the printing and distribution of T-shirts  (twice in the year)
•	Coordinate monthly printing and distribution of recognition certificates

Administrative support
•	Coordinate and administer platform for walk participants
•	Communicate with walk participants
•	Coordinate monthly 10,000 steps challenge and distribution of gift cards
•	Subscribe to Survey Monkey and other data-collection platform.
•	Design and administer hard-copy and digital feed-back survey for walks and summits
•	Design report template, prep ongoing reports/ updates for web & records

Key Knowledge and Skills Expectations:
•	A post-secondary education in accounting, commerce, or finance.
•	Previous experience in the same or related role is an asset.
•	Familiarity with the QuickBooks software.
•	Proficiency in Google Workspace.
•	Excellent attention to detail & confidentiality
•	Knowledge of basic accounting and budgeting principles
•	Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
•	Strong communication skills, analytical thinking and organizational skills
•	Ability to work with a team or independently
•	Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
•	Discretion and confidentiality.

Time Commitment:
•	Approximately 5-10 hours per week, depending on ongoing projects and initiatives.
