About Our Organization

Young Mind’s Eye (YME) is a not-for-profit organization aiming to provide educational services to the underprivileged population. Our Organization originally started as our student group Help Young Minds at the University of Alberta. We now focus on establishing our organization on a national scale to serve more youths out there. At YME, we strive to work together as a team, support each other and push each of our programs forward in order to make an impact on our community.

Position Summary

The Director of Outreach will lead the development and implementation of outreach strategies to recruit volunteers and participants for our various programs. This role is responsible for creating and nurturing relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and the public to advance the mission of Young Minds Eye. The Director of Outreach will work closely with various volunteers and executives to ensure cohesive and effective communication and outreach efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Outreach Strategies: Create outreach plans that align with the organization's goals and objectives. Identify target audiences and tailor outreach efforts to effectively engage them.
- Community Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and organizations. 
- Program Management: Oversee outreach programs and initiatives, ensuring they are executed effectively and meet desired outcomes. Evaluate the success of outreach efforts and adjust strategies as needed.

- Proficiency in using outreach and marketing tools and platforms (ex. Facebook, Instagram, etc).
