ESL Facilitator - Talk Buddies Program

1-2 hours / weekly
6+ months
Young Minds Eye (YME) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing free educational services to students who have difficulties accessing resources. Our organization originally started as our student group Help Young Minds at the University of Alberta. We now focus on establishing our organization on a national scale to serve more youths. At YME, we strive to work together as a team, support each other, and push each of our programs forward to make an impact on our community.

We are looking for motivated individuals who can commit 1-2 hours a week and who are passionate about teaching and have experience working with young children learning English as their second language (ESL). Our Talk Buddies program is unique in that the service is offered on an individualized structure, in which we do our best to accommodate and meet the needs of our students one-on-one. In addition, we also work on creating and adding fun activities for students to enjoy the sessions rather than learning in a conventional way.
