Talk Buddies Volunteer Executive

Young Minds Eye (YME) is a not-for-profit organization aiming to provide educational services to the underprivileged population. Our mission started with our student group Help Young Minds at the University of Alberta. We now focus on establishing our non-profit organization to serve more youths out there. At YME, we strive to work together as a team, support each other and push each of our programs forward in order to make a positive impact on our community.

Position entails: 
- send reminders of the shift to volunteers of the week
- coordinate communications between volunteers and change in program
- provide backstage support for general volunteers when they are struggling/on leave (e.g. unable to facilitate session) 
- navigate and deal with any challenge that might arise regarding Talk Buddies team
- work along with HD to address any issue arise and come up with solution plan, seek help if needed from other executive members
- address problem on an individual case-to-case basis 
- approve volunteer hours of all Talk Buddies volunteer 
- run/schedule Talk Buddies team meeting
- participate in YME executive team meeting
- assist with additional team work
