ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW

Young Minds Eye is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing educational resources to underprivileged children. Our mission is to support children who face barriers to traditional schooling or require additional academic help but struggle to access the right resources or financial support. We currently provide remote tutoring for youth

We are experiencing a surge in demand at the start of this semester due to an influx of students seeking our services. To meet this growing need, we are actively recruiting compassionate and skilled tutors to join our team.

MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

- GED (High School Diploma) or equivalent.
- 18+ years old.
- Clear Police Record Check.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in tutoring or teaching.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiarity with virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom or Google Meet.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student needs.
- A passion for education and a commitment to fostering a growth mindset in students.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Conduct one-on-one tutoring sessions virtually.
- Develop and implement lesson plans with specific, attainable goals.
- Help students overcome academic challenges by reviewing difficult concepts and providing additional learning resources.
- Encourage students to think critically and solve problems independently.
- Participate in monthly team meetings to share experiences and strategies (frequency subject to change).
