Position Summary:
Join our team as a volunteer companion and make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors receiving supportive and memory care. This rewarding role involves providing companionship and engaging in activities that enhance the well-being and happiness of our residents. Whether working one-on-one or in group settings, your presence will bring joy and comfort to those who need it most.

Responsibilities:
Companionship: Spend quality time with seniors, offering a friendly ear and having heartfelt conversations to brighten their day.
Activities: Participate in various activities, such as games, arts and crafts, music sessions, and gentle exercises, tailored to the interests and abilities of the residents.
Group Engagement: Assist in organizing and leading group activities that foster social interaction and a sense of community among residents.
Supportive Care: Provide gentle encouragement and reassurance, helping residents feel safe and comfortable.
Memory Care: Engage residents with memory care needs in stimulating activities designed to enhance cognitive function and emotional well-being.

Expectations of Volunteers:
Be reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
Respect confidentiality and the rights of the residents.
Approach interactions with a non-judgmental attitude.
Be open to accountability and constructive feedback.

Qualifications:
Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine interest in helping seniors.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when needed.
Flexibility and creativity in adapting activities to meet the diverse needs of residents.
Previous experience working with seniors or in a caregiving role is a plus, but not required.
A vulnerable sector check and proof of COVID-19 vaccination are mandatory.
