Managing Director (Volunteer)

The Managing Director to lead our organization in fostering the development of future leaders. The Managing Director will be responsible for the overall strategic, operational, and financial management of RB Jumpstart Mentorship & Youth Leadership Training Society (RBJM&YLTS), ensuring the achievement of its mission, vision and actions are aligned with the organization's values. This role requires a passionate leader who can engage and motivate staff, volunteers, and the community while driving growth and sustainability.

Responsibilities:

- Leadership and Management:
- Develop and implement strategic plans that align with the mission and vision of RBJM&YLTS.
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of programs and services.
- Foster a positive and inclusive organizational culture that encourages collaboration and innovation.
- Recruit, hire, mentor, and evaluate staff, promoting professional development and high performance.

Program Development and Implementation:

- Design and oversee youth leadership programs that are impactful and aligned with organizational goals.
- Ensure program evaluation and continuous improvement through feedback and data analysis.
- Expand program reach and accessibility, particularly in underserved communities.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the annual budget in collaboration with the CEO and Board of Directors.
- Ensure financial stability through effective fundraising, grant writing, and donor relations.
- Monitor and report on financial performance, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Community Engagement and Advocacy:

- Serve as the primary spokesperson for RBJM&YLTS, advocating for youth leadership development.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including community partners, donors, and policymakers.
- Promote RBJM&YLTS through public speaking engagements, media interactions, and community events.

Board Administration and Support:

- Work closely with the CEO and Board of Directors to support governance and strategic direction.
- Provide regular updates on organizational performance and key initiatives.
- Facilitate staff meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Additional Details & Skills Required

- Strong strategic thinking and planning abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain community partnerships.
- Proficiency in using technology (Microsoft office (word, excel), adobe acrobat, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Canva and not limited to this list) and social media to enhance organizational visibility and engagement.
- Innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and best practices.
Certification or Education Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Education, or Human Services related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in working with youth, nonprofit management or a related sector.
- Proven track record in fundraising, grant writing, and donor relations.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and financial management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and engage diverse audiences.
