Summary Profile: As a CityKidz Welcome Team member, you will have the opportunity to engage and empower volunteers as they arrive for their shift. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lay a foundation that will influence how a volunteers will navigate that day, playing a part in how we care for all those involved in our programs here at CityKidz. During your shift on a Saturday, you will be in charge of welcoming volunteers and getting them to where they need to be. It is essential in this role to have a friendly and engaging personality, as you will be providing hospitality to each of our volunteers. Skills and Qualifications: Skill 1 • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Skill 2 • Ability to have a personable and confident demeanor in approaching new people. Skill 3 • Good judgment and able to take initiative. Personality Traits: • Outgoing and Friendly personality. • Enthusiastic with tasks and interactions. • Helpful behavior. • Effective communication skills to engage and direct volunteers, and staff members, providing clear instructions and conveying empathy and support. • High level of common sense and alertness. Experience & Education: • Proficiency in reading (required). • Experience working in administration (preferred). Time Commitment: Minimum four (4) month commitment is required, for at least 1x a month but preferably biweekly Saturdays through March – June and September- December. Shifts: 7:00am-9:00am, 10:30am-12:30pm.
