Volunteer Opportunity – Ontario Lifeguarding Championsh

We are looking for volunteers to assist with the upcoming Ontario Lifeguarding Championship, taking place in Hamilton on February 14 and 15 2026.
 
What is a lifeguarding competition?
A lifeguarding competition is an event where teams perform simulated rescues and first aid scenarios. Competitors are scored on their skills, teamwork, and effectiveness—and the team with the highest score wins!

Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
Volunteer roles include:
Officiating (if you have your National Lifeguard Instructors or higher)
Acting as victims for scenarios
Classroom-based First Aid events
In-water events (Water Rescue and SERC)
Helping tally and collect score sheets
Guiding teams to and from event stations

Snacks and meals will be provided for volunteers. We are also happy to complete any required paperwork so this opportunity can count toward high school volunteer hours.
