Central Okanagan Family Hub Volunteer
Position summary: This position is responsible for working together with Family Hub Coordinator and Family Hub Facilitator to support families accessing the Hub and community partner’s programs Prime functions: • Creates a warm and welcoming environment for all participants • Greets and interacts with individuals from diverse backgrounds in a non-judgmental and culturally safe manner • Demonstrates respect for every person; maintains confidentially • Assists Hub Facilitator with rotating and cleaning of toys and equipment, sanitizing all surfaces and shared spaces daily • Assists with setting up for group programming, tidy and clean shared spaces • Assists with the food support program, pick up and delivery of food supports • Assists with delivering Hub activities in community spaces or at the Hub • Assists with preparing arts and crafts as well as educational activity bags • Assists with collecting monthly statistics and data required for reporting Skills • Calm and welcoming manner with a passion for working with families • Good understanding of boundaries • Standard First with CPR certification is an asset • Orientation and training will be provided
