Volunteer Position: Peer Support Ambassador
Peer Support Ambassadors play a vital role in creating a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment for the women participating in our 12-week Set Up for Success program. Ambassadors act as a liaison between Dress for Success Kelowna, facilitators, and participants ensuring workshops run smoothly, clients feel supported, and facilitators have what they need to deliver a great session. *Depending on the number of applicants, this position could be shared * This is a hands-on volunteer position ideal for someone who is organized, compassionate, and passionate about supporting women in their career and personal development journeys. Key Responsibilities Program & Room Setup (5:00–5:30) Arrive early to set up the library classroom. Prepare chairs, tables, technology, and materials as needed. Ensure facilitators have what they require for the session (handouts, projector, markers, etc.). Facilitator Support Greet and meet with facilitators before each workshop. Confirm they are set up, comfortable, and have all necessary tools. Act as a point of contact for any questions during the session. Administrative Support Take attendance at each session. Help distribute materials or collect forms when needed. Communicate any concerns, feedback, or needs to the Program Coordinator. Time Commitment Thursdays, 5:00–8:00 PM, for all 12 weeks of the program (February–April). Optional: Occasional orientation or training sessions. What Makes a Great Peer Support Ambassador?
