Employment Mentor for Internationally Trained Newcomers

1-2 hours / weekly
2 month term
* Currently looking for mentors with the following professional backgrounds: Engineering *(Civil Engineering/Chemical Engineering/Electrical), IT, clinical psychology (including students studying in the field), small business owners/entrepreneurs, nursing, hospitality, project management, food/beverage/culinary industry, and finance/accounting.
* Open to other industries

Offer one-on-one support to internationally trained newcomers on their journey to finding meaningful employment in Canada. Support includes:

-resume review and interview skills practice
-enhanced understanding of Canadian workplace culture
-information on knowledge of best practices and industry information
-information on how to build professional networks locally
-support, feedback and encouragement.

**Need to have lived in BC for at least 3 years**
