Okanagan Volunteer Fair Support 2024

Help us host the  Annual Okanagan Volunteer Fair! The events begin on Friday, September 20, 2024 with us hosting a Volunteer Management Breakfast and close on Saturday September 21st with The Okanagan Volunteer Fair at the Parkinson Recreation Centre.  The Volunteer Fair is a and a one-stop shop for you to find a volunteer opportunity that fits your skills, interests, and reach your goals. 

There are three main areas we need support with:
1.  September 20th, Friday morning, help us show our appreciation for all volunteer managers at the Volunteer Managers Appreciation Breakfast the morning prior to the Fair on Saturday September 21, 2024! Commitment time: 2-4 hours
2.  September 20th, 2024, Friday evening, in preparation for the Okanagan Volunteer Fair the following day help us set up tables, chairs, banners, etc. at the Parkinson Recreation Centre. Commitment time: 2-4 hours.
3.  September 20th, 2024, Saturday, duties include, but aren't limited to, set up/take down, registration table, welcoming guests, and directing flow of passage.  Commitment time: 2-4 hours.

The Okanagan Volunteer Fair is hosted by KCR Community Resources. KCR is a not for profit agency fostering diversity, collaboration and resourcefulness by tailoring services to meet community, family and individual needs.

We offer programs and projects in four overarching areas: Community Services, Employment Services, Immigrant Service, and Family & Adoption Services.

Additional Details & Skills Required
The shifts are 4 hours long, but you are more than welcome to stay for both of the shifts (8 hours total).
