Westside Multiculturalism Day Parking Coordinators

3737 Old Okanagan Hwy, West Kelowna, BC, V4T 2H6 [map]
1-2 hours
The Westside Multiculturalism Day is a celebration of the rich cultural diversity of West Kelowna and the Greater Westside that is taking place on Saturday, June 28, 2025. In collaboration with the Westbank Museum, cultural groups come together with displays and activities at booths that we call cultural pavilions, which are the main focus of the event. Cultural groups also put on performances on stage for attendees to enjoy, as well as workshops for the public to participate in. All of these activities are free for the public to take part in!

We need several volunteers to assist with directing traffic to appropriate parking areas, and letting cultural pavilion volunteers and performing groups through the barricade to unload their stuff. These will be set up as one hour shifts from 7:00 AM until 4:00 PM.
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
The volunteers will gain experience in directing people to the appropriate places to park, depending on if they are members of the public attending the event, event volunteers, members of the public accessing the Johnson Bentley Memorial Aquatic Centre, or cultural performers. These volunteers will also get pizza for lunch provided to them.
