Westside Multiculturalism Day Tear Down Crew
The Westside Multiculturalism Day is a celebration of the rich cultural diversity of West Kelowna and the Greater Westside that is taking place on Saturday, June 28, 2025. In collaboration with the Westbank Museum, cultural groups come together with displays and activities at booths that we call cultural pavilions, which are the main focus of the event. Cultural groups also put on performances on stage for attendees to enjoy, as well as workshops for the public to participate in. All of these activities are free for the public to take part in! We need multiple volunteers to assist with the tear down of the event, including taking down tents, tables, chairs, event signage and banners, as well as making sure that any garbage on the ground is picked up and placed in garbage bins, and more. Tear down starts immediately after the event ends at 4:00 PM and goes until finished.
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
Volunteers will have the satisfaction of knowing they are greatly helping the event organizers after a long day, some of whom have been on site since 4:00 AM. They will gain experience with tearing down a large scale event in a timely fashion.
