Silver Sitter for Caregiver Support
Silver Sitter volunteers are invited to spend time with care recipients whose caregivers engage in Lake Country Health's Caregiver Support Program (CSP). Volunteers aim to increase connection with care recipients by engaging in activities based on the care recipient’s personal interests. Volunteers are encouraged to be creative with activities but may include having coffee and chatting (reminiscing), playing cards, playing a board game (eg. Crib, Rummy Cube), seasonal activities (eg. crafts, gardening), sing songs, etc. These activities will be based on the care recipient’s interests and should continue to be tailored to the individual.
