Lloydminster Social Action Coalition Society
The Lloydminster Social Action Coalition Society has been active in the Lloydminster area since 1998. The coalition was created to address gaps and barriers within services for Lloydminster’s most vulnerable populations. In a matter of 20 years, the coalition has addressed these gaps and barriers within services through formulating agencies such as: Lloydminster Men’s Shelter, Gibney Housing and Lloydminster Drop-In Centre [Unofficial Name].
Lloydminster Men’s Shelter provides overnight shelter to men aged 18+ and also offers food to-go for men, women, and children to access on a nightly basis. Gibney Housing offers second-stage affordable housing for men to reside at and is intended to help provide and maintain stability for residents. Lloydminster Drop-In Centre [Unofficial Name] is a wet and dry space that provides men, women and children the opportunity to access basic needs and additional supports on a daily basis.
