Street Team Volunteer

We have many areas for our volunteers to peruse depending on their interests. These include but not limited to; meal prep, serving, referral services, resource handouts, transportation, fundraising/event planning, and advocating for the improved systems and access for venerable individuals.

Lloydminster & Vermilion for Equity Street Team aims to provide non-judgmental, barrier free access to service. We understand that each individual has a specific story and lived experience and deserves the right to dignity and respect. We understand that recovery looks different for everyone and for some, abstinence is not the goal. We are actively anti-racist and continuously work on ourselves to uncover and redress subconscious and cognitive bias'. We understand that most of the community that we serve have experienced intergenerational trauma and are either residential school / day school survivors or descendants of residential school / day school survivors. We also understand that classism / poverty is a societal issue and should not be demonized or criminalized. We are inclusive of all regardless of age, gender, race, class, etc. We provide safe spaces and hatred, bigotry, discrimination, and harmful vitriol will not be tolerated.
