About Prism Halton:
Prism Halton is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering and educating the 2SLGBTQQIA+ community in Halton. We curate and endorse initiatives that celebrate diversity and inclusivity while fostering a safe, welcoming environment.

Role Overview:
We are looking for passionate volunteers to support our work in various capacities. Volunteers can choose to serve as general volunteers or to join specific committees aligned with their interests and skills. Each committee plays a vital role in advancing our mission and creating a positive impact in the community.

Volunteer Opportunities:
You can choose to participate in one or more of the following areas:
1. Events Committee
- Develop and plan events in coordination with board suggestions.
- Create social media posts and promote events in a timely manner.
- Book venues and coordinate with community partners.
2. Sponsorship Committee
- Develop community sponsorships for all Prism Halton events, including the Pride Parade.
- Send sponsorship emails and follow up with potential sponsors.
- Maintain and update the sponsorship contact spreadsheet.
3. Fundraising Committee
- Develop creative and impactful fundraising opportunities and events.
- Plan and execute fundraising campaigns in collaboration with other committees.
- Identify potential donors and funding sources to support Prism Halton’s programs.
4. Community Outreach Committee
- Create opportunities to promote local community organizations using Prism Halton’s platforms.
- Develop and maintain a local community resource list.
- Lead outreach and engagement activities to build partnerships and strengthen connections with the Halton community.

Qualifications:
- Passion for supporting the 2SLGBTQQIA+ community.
- Strong organizational, communication, or creative skills.
- Willingness to collaborate and work with a diverse team.
