QPCC Therapeutic Recreation - Afternoon Tea

2 hours / weekly
Minimum 6 month commitment
Assist with Afternoon Tea by providing a social setting that enhances the enjoyment of refreshments and the entertainment. Encourage the residents to sing and reminisce whilst welcoming new residents and celebrating birthdays. A lovely social event for residents and accompanying family members. 

Available Openings:
Thursday: 2:00pm-4:00pm

Additional Details & Skills Required
•	Ability to understand and be understood in English.
•	Effective communication and interpersonal skills (discretion, courtesy, empathy).
•	Ability to follow direction.
•	Ability to follow the Fraser Health Respectful Workplace Policy
•	Knowledge and compliance with infection control requirements.
•	Ability to maintain confidentiality and set appropriate boundaries.
•	Ability to perform physical requirements of position i.e. push a wheelchair
•       References & Criminal Record Check
Certification or Education Required
Required training includes:
1.	General Volunteer Orientation, Queen’s Park Care Centre.
2.	Online Volunteer Training Curriculum.
3.	Program Orientation with Therapeutic Recreation staff.
4.	Any other training that is required.
