Rehab: Music Therapy Group Volunteer
To provide patients on the Rehab: Neuro & Stroke Units with the opportunity for connection, self-expression, exploration and to learn new coping and communication skills, gain confidence and decrease anxiety. Patients will participate in a small-medium sized group setting with a certified music therapist who will guide them through different elements of music and creative expression-based activities. *No music experience needed. Shifts Available: Wednesday: 9:15am-11:30am (Neuro Unit) Friday: 9:15am-11:30am (Stroke Unit) (1x shift per week)
Additional Details & Skills Required
Required training includes: 1. General Volunteer On-site Orientation, Queen’s Park Care Centre. 2. Online Volunteer Training Curriculum. 3. Program Orientation with Music Therapist. 4. Any other training that is required.
