Grant Writer

We are looking for an individual who has some experience in grant writing to help our organization and support our mission of achieving food security.

Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement an annual development plan/strategy to increase annual grant income
- Identify grant opportunities by searching online and contacting opportunities by phone or email. 
- Undertake research to support proposal applications
- Draft grant proposals with compelling narratives
- Assemble and submit grant requests including letters, proposals, budgets, and presentations
- Work with researchers to develop deliverables and manage grant timelines
- Weekly mandatory meeting: Mondays at 6pm PST or Thursdays at 7pm PST, virtual

Certification or Education Required

Previous writing experience preferred in areas of grants, academics or creative writing
Exceptional written skills in English
An understanding of both qualitative and quantitative methods 
Organized, self-directed, and able to work independently
Flexible, open and can easily adapt to changes
