Medical Transportation Driver (Urgent Hiring!)

Provide assistance and transportation for seniors to and from their medical appointments.
Arrive at seniors home as scheduled. Provide minimal assistance arm side assistance (senior must be able to transport themselves from home to vehicle) Accompany client to their appointment. Remain in medical office until appointment finishes. Drive senior back home. Maintain and submit. mileage/parking receipts. Submit to Seniors Services Society monthly for reimbursement.

Ability to understand and speak English. Friendly, courteous, patient. Ability to work independently. Capacity to maintain confidentiality. Able to communicate in a clear and effective manner. Punctual and reliable. Ability to initiate and sustain conversation. Able to drive defensively, obey traffic laws, speed limits and without distractions (texting, eating while driving etc.) Competent navigator.

Mandatory criminal record check. Provide two references. Access to a personal vehicle that is clean and in good repair.  Must have class 5 drivers license. Have a MINIMUM of $3 million Extended Third Party Liability vehicle insurance. Renew insurance on a yearly basis. Provide up to date copies of: Driver's Abstract, Owner's Certificate of Insurance and vehicle license. Be responsible for the upkeep and safety of the vehicle. Access to a phone. Able to provide a smoke free environment.

Commitment Required- Medical appointments are generally made Monday-Friday between 8:30am-4:30pm (occasional evenings or weekends) Minimum 6 month commitment
