Dining Experience Volunteer

Become an integral part of our senior community's dining experience by joining us as a Dining Experience Volunteer. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the comfort and enjoyment of our residents during meal times while also assisting with administrative tasks and event coordination.

Responsibilities:

Clearing up Table from Dishes and Cutlery:
Assist in clearing tables of used dishes, utensils, and glassware after meals.
Ensure dining areas are clean, tidy and ready for the next meal service.

Setting up Dining Table:
Help set up dining tables with clean tablecloths, napkins, and tableware before meal times.

Sanitizing:
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the dining area by sanitizing tables, chairs, and other surfaces.
Ensure proper disposal of waste and recycling materials.

Arrange Walker:
Assist residents with mobility aids such as walkers, ensuring they are safely stored during meal times and easily accessible when needed.

Administration, Data Entry, and Filing:
Support administrative tasks such as data entry and filing.
Ensure accurate documentation and organization of dining-related information.

Event Plan, Set Up, and Take Down:
Collaborate with staff to plan and organize dining-related events and special occasions.
Assist in setting up event spaces, arranging decorations, and coordinating logistics.
Aid in the efficient dismantling and cleanup of dining areas after events.

Interact with Residents:
Engage with residents in a friendly and respectful manner during meal times.
Foster a welcoming and inclusive dining environment where residents feel valued and comfortable.
Certification or Education Required
Food Safe is a plus
