General Board Member - Treasurer

NutritionLink Services Society (NLS) is a highly respected participant among BC's charitable organizations focused on improving health for BC residents though the promotion of healthy eating. The organization is looking to recruit a new Board Member to complement the existing volunteer Board as a Treasurer while helping NLSS expand and develop as a charity to further nutrition education in BC. The NutritionLink objective is to continue the work that it has been doing as well as make connections and expand its charitable range to more vulnerable populations in need. NLSS is also excited to work towards increasing its granting program through new partnerships. NutritionLink is a financially sound organization that currently funds its charitable activities through margin generating activities and a donor directed fund with a major Vancouver based foundation.

Our Mission: To support and sponsor food security projects through nutrition education and food skill building for vulnerable BC residents.
Certification or Education Required
A formal accounting designation is an asset but not required. All applicants with significant financial management experience will be considered. Other qualifications include experience offering financial advice and providing trustworthy information about financial records. NutritionLink employs a contract bookkeeper/accountant and the Treasurer would provide financial oversight.
