This is an amazing opportunity to support newcomers in Canada to improve their communication skills (listening and speaking), essential to their settlement process. The English Conversation Circles are informal groups where participants will gain new friends, learn to network, share experiences and practice the language in a safe environment.
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
This is a great experience for the volunteer to enhance their facilitation skills, organizing the sessions, selecting interesting topics to be discussed, managing time and participation and helping newcomers to build connections and improve communication skills. A volunteer hours certificate is issued after 1 year-commitment.
