Habitat Red Deer Event Committee Member

We are seeking two enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our Event Committee as Volunteer Committee Members for our 2025 Garden Party!

We are excited to announce that our Garden Party will be returning in May 2025. This is our largest fundraising event of the year, supporting our mission of helping families build strength, stability, and independence through affordable homeownership. This fundraiser plays a vital role in building community awareness and fundraising efforts.  

In 2024, Habitat Red Deer celebrated its 30th year in Central Alberta and completed their 50th home built! These big milestones are made possible with the support of our community. 

This is a wonderful opportunity to contribute to a fantastic event while gaining valuable experience and meeting new people in our community. No committee experience is needed. 

Committee Members will support the event with tasks leading up to it, including attending meetings (four meetings are expected between January and the end of May 2025), connecting with local businesses, requesting and delivering auction items, coordinating promotional items, selling tickets, and sharing information through their networks. Volunteers will be required to pick up auction items from local businesses - access to a car or the ability to transport items is required.
