Urgently Seeking Phone Volunteers! Through CASASC's 24-Hour Help Line, volunteers provide support and information to individuals accessing this service. From the comfort of your home, you can help those in your community!

8-24 hours / monthly

The 24-Hour Sexual Violence Help Line provides immediate support to those impacted by sexual violence, as well those affected by domestic violence, mental health, isolation, and loneliness. As phone line workers, calls will be forwarded to your phone through an answering service where you will provide support, information, and referrals. Volunteers at CASASC mainly provide support, information, and referrals to those affected by sexual violence which may include emergency or historical situations. Therefore, applicants must be very compassionate, reliable, and supportive. Shifts are 12am-8am, 8am-4pm, and 4pm-12am. You will need to be 18 years of age with a clean criminal record check.

The work we do is completely remote; therefore, you are able to volunteer from the comfort of your home regardless of where you live. Training will be provided remotely with flexibility for your schedule.

Additional Details & Skills Required
Training is done virtually through an self-paced module program. Mock calls are setup at the request of the trainee.
Certification or Education Required
No certification or education needed. However, experience in humanities, such as social work or psychology are an asset.
