French Tutors Needed For RDPL Youth Literacy Program

Join our Youth Literacy Program and make a difference in young lives! We match volunteer tutors with kids in Grades 1-5 who need help with their French language reading and writing skills,  We offer training and support to our tutors, and we can assure you that this will be a unique and rewarding experience for you!
We are accepting Volunteer tutor applications for the upcoming 2024/2025 school year. Youth Literacy will run during the school year beginning in mid Fall 2024, with a minimum three month commitment. Learners will be paired with a volunteer and meet once a week for 1 hour. The family and volunteer tutor will meet in Timberlands branch of Red Deer Public Library and could choose a day and time for their session. Volunteer tutors are required to be 16+ and provide a Vulnerable Sector Check, and must demonstrate a mastery of French Language Arts.
