Outreach Coordinator

2 hours / weekly
6 months
At She Builds The Future (SBTF), a youth-led nonprofit dedicated to supporting underrepresented students in STEM, we aim to create meaningful partnerships that expand access to resources, opportunities, and mentorship.

As an Outreach Coordinator, you will play a vital role in helping SBTF grow its impact by identifying potential partner organizations, brainstorming collaboration ideas, and reporting your findings.

Outreach Coordinators directly support SBTF’s mission by connecting with schools, community centers, libraries, STEM clubs, and other organizations, enabling us to reach more students and provide them with STEM education and inspiration. Your work will help create programs, events, and initiatives that empower young people, particularly those who may not otherwise have access to STEM resources.

We encourage creativity, initiative, and thoughtful approaches to collaboration. You will have the chance to brainstorm project ideas, suggest events or campaigns, and play an active role in shaping SBTF’s outreach strategy. By contributing to meaningful partnerships, you are helping to break down barriers for students in STEM and supporting a movement that values inclusion, equity, and empowerment.

This position is ideal for students or young volunteers seeking to strengthen their leadership, communication, and professional skills while making a tangible impact in their community. It offers a way to gain verified volunteer hours, build a strong portfolio, and develop experiences that are highly valued for university applications, scholarships, internships, or future employment. Outreach Coordinators also become part of a collaborative, supportive team of youth passionate about STEM education and social impact.

To apply, we ask that you commit to actively researching and reporting on potential organizations. There is flexibility in the number of organizations you explore, and creativity in suggesting collaboration ideas is highly encouraged. While volunteer hours are formally counted based on reported organizations (2 hours per organization), the skills, connections, and experience you gain are invaluable. Your contributions will directly enhance SBTF’s reach and ability to support students worldwide, making a lasting impact on STEM education accessibility.
