Youth Social Worker/Counsellor - Camp Alohi Lani

Camp Alohi Lani offers campers the opportunity to connect with other youths from across BC who are affected by ALS in their families. We are looking for a compassionate person with a background in social work or counselling to provide support to any of the kids/campers who are struggling emotionally/mentally with the diagnosis of their family member. 

This person will stay overnight in a cabin with campers and help supervise during daily activities. Travel and accommodation provided.

Certification or Education Required
Must be over 21 years of age. 
Background in Psychology/Social Work 
Experience working with children and youth beneficial (At least 1 year)
Ability to work well in a group setting
Be creative and flexible and have a positive attitude
Standard First Aid and CPR-C is an asset
Physical ability to respond appropriately to situations requiring first aid or emergency
Enforce safety regulations and procedures
