Job Title: Director Technology Programs Location: Arts and Cultural Council of Strathcona County Position Type: Board Member Duration: Three years --- Job Description: The Arts and Cultural Council of Strathcona County is seeking a dedicated and tech-savvy volunteer to design and direct our technology programs. This role is integral to the successful implementation and operation of various technological initiatives, including virtual reality experiences, digital art showcases, board communications and other innovative projects aimed at enriching the cultural landscape of our community. Key Responsibilities: - Program Management: - Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of technology-related programs and events. - Work closely with Directors and volunteers to identify technological needs and opportunities for enhancement. - Technology Setup and Maintenance: - Set up and maintain VR equipment and other technology used in programs. - Troubleshoot technical issues promptly to ensure a seamless experience for users. - Training and Support: - Provide training and guidance to fellow directors, volunteers, and participants on the use of technology, including VR headsets and software programs. - Act as a point of contact for technology-related inquiries and support. - Coordinate programming and content development - Research and implement new technologies that can enhance board processes, program delivery, and community engagement. -Feedback and Reporting: - Gather feedback from participants and stakeholders to assess the effectiveness of technology programs. - Provide regular reports to fellow directors on program progress, challenges, and recommendations for improvement. Qualifications: - Technical Proficiency: - Familiarity with virtual reality technology and software applications. - Basic understanding of computer systems and troubleshooting techniques. -Communication Skills: - Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information and provide support. - Organizational Skills: - Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment. - Team Player: - Collaborative mindset with a passion for arts and culture, and a desire to contribute to the community.
