About Us:    
The Arts and Culture Council of Strathcona County is dedicated to promoting and supporting arts and culture initiatives within our community. We believe in the transformative power of the arts and strive to foster creativity, inclusivity, and cultural enrichment for all residents.

  Position Overview:    
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to serve as the Secretary/Treasurer for our council. This vital role will be responsible for overseeing the council’s financial health, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring effective communication among board members and stakeholders.

  Key Responsibilities:  

Secretary Duties:
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas and minutes.
- Maintain accurate records of all meetings and decisions.
- Facilitate communication between council members and external stakeholders.

Treasurer Duties:
- Manage the council’s financial accounts, budgets, and reports.
- Prepare and present financial statements at council meetings.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
- Assist in fundraising efforts and grant applications.

  Qualifications:  
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience in financial management or accounting is preferred.
- Familiarity with non-profit organizations and governance structures is an asset.
- Passion for the arts and culture sector.

  Commitment:    
The Secretary/Treasurer will be expected to attend monthly council meetings and participate in additional committee work as needed.
