Volunteer Treasurer

St. Albert FRC's mission is "strengthening families through meaningful and educational programming in a safe and supportive environment." We offer programs and services to improve families' well-being and encourage them to build a social support network. St. Albert FRC has provided family-focused, child and youth-centered programs and services for over 40 years and is well-established in St. Albert and the region. Our vision is "Strong, empowered families. Thriving, happy children. Meaningful community connections".

St. Albert Family Resource Centre is looking for a Chartered Professional Accountant to join our volunteer Governance Board of Directors as Treasurer starting as soon as possible. The treasurer will oversee the financial matters of the charity in line with good practice and accordance with the governing document and legal requirements and report to the Board of directors at regular intervals about the organization's financial health. The treasurer will ensure that adequate financial measures, controls, and procedures are in place and appropriate for the charity.
Additional Details & Skills Required
Start date is April 2025 or when a candidate is found.  The outgoing treasurer will meet with the new treasurer to update on the responsibilities and financial health of the organization
