AHS: Bereavement Facilitator - Stettler Hospital & Care Centre and Hanna Hospital & Care Centre
Facilitate scheduled Group Grief sessions. Includes providing a safe space for grieving participants and sharing tools and resources to learn about grief, during an 8 week Grief Group session. Bereavement support manual and program toolkit will be used to deliver session information. Each weekly session is typically 2 hours over an 8 week duration. Session times can be daytime or evening depending on participant and facilitator needs. Sessions are ideally offered twice a year; Fall and Spring. A two day Bereavement Facilitation training is required. Ideal candidates for this position are those that have lived experience with death/grief and/or an educational/employment background in this area. Next Bereavement Facilitator training is scheduled for Fall 2025 and will be hosted by Stettler Hospital & Care Centre.
Certification or Education Required
Ideal candidate has lived experience with grief and the dying process, experience or education in facilitation, and is non-judgemental.
