Reports to: Literacy Services Coordinator Responsibilities ●Treat both learners and their children with respect and show enthusiasm ●Plan engaging (preferably learning oriented) library-appropriate activities for the child ●Maintain confidentiality and abide by guidelines ●Track time spent and progress ●Communicate regularly with the Literacy Services Coordinator ●Complete sign in and sign out forms in regards to childminding times
Additional Details & Skills Required
Childcare providers will have plenty of guidance and access to library toys, games, books, etc., to have ample choices of engaging activities to do with the child. The parents will be in a nearby room.
Certification or Education Required
Demonstration of childcare experience is necessary.
