Senior Connector Volunteer

We are seeking friendly and dedicated Senior Connector Volunteers to join us in supporting seniors at various community locations. In this role, you will provide valuable information and referrals to seniors, helping them navigate available services and resources. The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with seniors, has excellent communication skills, and is committed to positively impacting the community. Training will be provided. Volunteers will be posted at local libraries in the Surrey community. Multiple positions are available—invite a friend and volunteer together as a dynamic duo!


Responsibilities:
>Engage with seniors and provide information about community resources
>Assist seniors in navigating local services and programs
>Maintain a welcoming and supportive environment
>Document interactions and referrals to ensure follow-up

Knowledge and Qualities:
>Friendly and approachable
>Enjoys interacting with seniors and the public
>Strong communication skills
>Able to take initiative and work independently and with others
>Proficient in English reading and writing
>Ability to work independently and as part of a team
>Shifts are flexible, with a commitment of 2-4 hours a month.
