Education and Outreach Volunteer

3 events per year
We attend several community outreach events a year to engage members of the public, help spread awareness of the NSOBP’s mission, and raise funds for spotted owl conservation. Volunteers represent the NSOBP at various public education events throughout the Greater Vancouver area with other volunteers or with staff and Small Eyes, the NSOBP’s ambassador owl. Volunteers should be comfortable speaking to crowds, interacting with the public, and handling cash and credit transactions. Training on our point-of-sale system is provided.

Volunteers are responsible for finding their own transportation to and from the event. and many locations may not be accessible by public transportation.

Events may not be wheelchair accessible or in smoke-free environments
