Requirements:
Also required for this position: Must be at least 19 years of age.
Must have your own vehicle with a valid Class 5 driver license. Your vehicle must be able to pass our safety test (i.e. no cracked windshields, functioning horn, all lights working, etc)
Must have a cell phone that you carry at all times.
Be reliable: we require Errand Drivers to be available at least one day a month. You must be available on a weekday during business hours.
Have good communication and listening skills. Must be able to follow instructions.

Errand Driver

Minimum of three months
Errand drivers, using their own vehicle, support the staff by picking up and dropping off much needed items. Purchases are eligible for reimbursement. However, mileage is not reimbursed. Errands typically occur in Langley, Abbotsford, and Surrey. Large vehicles, such as SUVs or pick-up trucks, are beneficial for this position. Examples of volunteer tasks include: -Buying and delivering 20kg bags of grain and large bags of shavings (assistance provided for loading and unloading bags of grain and shavings) -Taking bags of garbage and recycling to the Recycling and Waste Center -Taking bags and boxes of returnable bottles/cans to Return-It and collecting the cash -Buying/picking up and delivering items such as cleaning supplies, office supplies, landscaping supplies and other miscellaneous items
