Are you a creative individual with a talent for graphic design? Do you want to use your skills to contribute to a meaningful cause? If so, we invite you to join the Northern Spotted Owl Breeding Program team as a Graphic Design Volunteer. In this role, you will have the opportunity to create visually engaging materials that will help us further our mission to restore the population of northern spotted owls in BC through conservation breeding and release. The Northern Spotted Owl Breeding Program (NSOBP) is a project managed by the British Columbia Conservation Foundation, a registered non-profit. The NSOBP in Langley, BC is home to over 30 northern spotted owls for which we provide care 365 days a year. Our volunteer team provides much-needed support to staff and is crucial to our success. We are looking for someone to help with: -Design eye-catching graphics for our promotional materials, social media posts, and website -Collaborate with our team to develop visual content that conveys our organization's message -Ensure consistency in branding and design elements across all materials Qualifications: -Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, or similar tools). -Strong creative and visual skills. -Excellent communication and teamwork skills. -A passion for our organization's mission and a commitment to our values. Please note: There is future opportunity for this position to be remote, but training and introductions will take place on-site at the NSOBP in Langley. Volunteers MUST be at least 16 years of age and be able to drive themselves to the site (no pick ups/drop offs, not accessible by public transportation). Please do not apply if you do not fulfill this requirement. The NSOBP is a non-smoking work environment. The NSOBP site is not wheelchair accessible.
