Coordinator

Lean In Vancouver is looking for a dedicated and highly organized coordinator to support various portfolios. Reporting directly to the Vice-Presidents, this role will focus on priority projects, including sponsorship and partnership initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Strong communication skills, a passion for community building, and the ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders are essential.

This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone who is eager to gain hands-on experience in community building, project management, and event coordination, with the potential to grow into a portfolio lead role over time.

Responsibilities

- Provide administrative and coordination support to the President, VPs, and various portfolio leads, ensuring smooth execution of key initiatives.

- Support sponsorships and partnerships initiatives by assisting with the preparation of proposal development.

- Coordinate volunteer engagement efforts by supporting the Volunteer Engagement Lead to recruit, onboard, and retain volunteers.

- Occasionally support the preparation of draft budgets and consolidate expense reports from previous fiscal years to ensure accuracy of financial records.

- Maintain organized documentation and records related to sponsorships, volunteers, events and key organizational initiatives.

Time Commitment

- 3-4 hours per week: Please note that our volunteer hours are project driven, so the hours may vary throughout the year. The estimated time commitment below reflects the maximum anticipated hours.

- Monthly 60-min Vancouver team meeting over Zoom: It is required for the coordinator to attend at least three monthly meetings in the first six months.

- Semi-annual team strategy meetings: This is typically hosted in person in downtown Vancouver. Each meeting is over 3 hours.

- Network marquee events, approximately two receptions per year (optional)

- Semi-annual 1:1 with one of the VPs.

- Semi-monthly coffee series event (optional)

- Team social, usually twice per year (optional)
