Volunteer Cashier/ Point of Sale (POS) Management
Process Transactions: Accurately handle cash and card payments using the Point of Sale (POS) system, ensuring all transactions are recorded properly. Customer Service: Greet and assist customers in a friendly, respectful, and welcoming manner, helping maintain a positive experience for all visitors. Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively with other volunteers and staff to ensure efficient service flow, especially during busy periods or special events. Cash Handling: Follow basic cash-handling procedures, reconcile cash when required, and immediately report any discrepancies to the Director of Accounting. Requirements. Background or experience in finance, retail, or customer service preferred. Proficient in using electronic devices, including tablets and POS systems. Must be 19 years of age or older. Adaptable, quick to learn, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills Time Commitment 4 hours per shift in the following shifts: Morning: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm Afternoon: 1.00 pm – 4.00 pm
Certification or Education Required
Background or experience in finance, retail, or customer service preferred. Proficient in using electronic devices, including tablets and POS systems.
