The IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s, presented by Go Auto, is the Alzheimer Society of B.C.’s largest fundraising event and remembers and honours people affected by dementia. To learn more about the role, please continue reading! https://alzheimerbc.rosterfy.com/register On Sunday, May 25, we need your enthusiasm, energy and passion to make the event a success. As an event-day volunteer, you'll be at the heart of the action, spreading joy, lending a helping hand and creating memories that matter. Some day-of-event roles: • Set-up team: Be the first team on site and prepare the venue for guests. Help to create the environment that will make this day special. • Registration team: Greet participants with a smile, check them in and hand out their event materials. Your warm welcome sets the tone for the entire day! • Route marshals: Guide walkers along the route, cheer them on and ensure everyone stays motivated and on track. Your encouragement keeps spirits high! • Refreshment team: Keep our walkers fueled and hydrated by handing out snacks and drinks at designated stations. Your kindness keeps our walkers going strong! • Photographers: Capture the meaningful moments of the day by snapping photos of our participants, volunteers and supporters. Your lens helps us cherish the memories forever! • Cleanup team: Help us leave no trace behind by tidying up after the event. Your dedication ensures we leave the venue even better than we found it! Commitment: • Wednesday May 14: Online orientation session 6:30 - 8 pm via Teams. • Sunday May 25, 2025: Single day of engagement, start and end times vary from location to location. Locations: • Abbotsford, Burnaby, New Westminster, Chilliwack, Comox Valley, Delta, Kamloops, Kelowna, Nanaimo, Nelson, Northern B.C., North Shore, Oceanside, Richmond, South Okanagan, Tri-Cities and Ridge Meadows, Vancouver, Whistler, White Rock and Surrey.
