Volunteer Administrative Assistant (Part-Time) Seniors Program

We are looking for a detail-oriented Volunteer Administrative Assistant to join our team part-time. This position will be based in our office (not remote) and will play an essential role in supporting the smooth operation of our services for Seniors. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks, including document management, client outreach, and event support.

Location: [JFS Vancouver, Clark Drive]
Hours: 1-2 days per week

Key Responsibilities:
- Filing & Document Management: Organize and maintain physical and digital files, ensuring that all documents are easily accessible and up-to-date.
- Scanning & Uploading Documents: Scan important documents and upload them to appropriate databases or systems.
- Database Management: Update and maintain databases with accurate client and event information.
- Mail Out Organization: Assist in the preparation and organization of mail-outs for events, newsletters, and other communications.
- Client Communication: Contact clients to remind them about upcoming events, providing a friendly and professional service.
- Event Support: Help organize and coordinate social events, from logistics to guest communication.

Key Skills and Attributes:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office programs.
- Excellent Attention to Detail: Ability to manage multiple tasks accurately and efficiently, with a high standard of quality.
- Organized & Efficient: Capable of managing time effectively and maintaining an orderly and productive workspace.
-Friendly & Approachable: A personable, client-focused attitude with a willingness to support colleagues and clients.
-Commitment to the Cause: An interest in contributing to services and programs that directly support Seniors.
- Russian Speaker (Asset): Proficiency in Russian is an asset, but not necessary
