Canadian Blood Services In-Centre Volunteer **

** We are in need of volunteers in the Peachland Area as well as all of BC . This opportunity is for anyone interested in our In-Centre donor events. 
We ask that our volunteers:
-to monitor donors for post donation reactions
-help keep the refreshment area clean and snacks fully stocked
-engage with donors and share information on our mulit-product lines
-to assist in directing them to the donor service representative to rebook the next appointment
-thank the donors for donation
We offer a letter of reference after 6 months of volunteering as well as a great way to get those hours for school.

Additional Details & Skills Required

There is a one hour online training session followed by a Shadow Shift in a clinic. This is usually 2 - 3 hours.  After the Shadow Shift you would sign up for shifts that would suit  your schedule.

Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?

You will play an important role in Canada's Lifeline. We offer an environment to engage with donors, listen to their stories. There will be training and support. You will learn to problem solve and deal with situations as they arise. There is opportunity to become a Volunteer Team Leader.
A reference after 6 months of volunteering is available.
